This week we have seen a rather significant increase in people being quite rude to our staff at Woodfire, to the point that some staff members have been reduced to tears! This should really not be happening and so I ask that everyone please take a minute to just take a breath and remember to be patient and kind.
Our staff have worked tirelessly through this pandemic and every day they all come to work with a great attitude, a smile on their face, and a willingness to work hard, to serve everyone in a professional, and efficient manner. Most customers are fantastic, and the appreciation we receive goes a long way to keeping that smile on their faces, however too frequently this week, they have felt the brunt of people's frustrations.
We are seeing a huge increase in takeout orders and therefore wait times can quite frequently be an hour or more for to-go pizza orders. This is simply an issue of volume. One pizza oven + an order every minute, or less = a delay in being able to stick to our usual 25 min timelines. There is absolutely nothing we can do about that and I can assure you that every staff member is giving it 200% every single day they work.
We really don't want staff to quit under the pressure and so I ask that you please just remember that every one of them is doing their very best for each and every customer and please just be kind to them.
Oh and please remember to try to do your part to keep the 6' apart. They are trying to keep 6' apart from you to keep you safe, so we ask that you try to remember to please do the same for them.
