I really liked the grilled chicken pizza! One of the best ones I've ever had I feel. The seafood fettuccine was also very good. I didn't expect such good food at Gabri0la Island and it really surprised me 😋

We visited Gabriola Island for our 50th wedding anniversary. We discovered Woodfire and were so happy that we did. We ordered the Sandwell pizza, crab and prawn cakes and tomato basil soup. The pizza was the tastiest pizza we've ever had. Delicious. The crab cakes and soup were so flavourful as well. The staff were super friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a delicious restaurant to dine in, we highly recommend Woodfire. You won't be disappointed!

Friendly service, comfortable seating, clean restaurant, tasty food. The portions are perfect. Not too small that you have to order multiple items. Not too big that they are flavourless.
The servers were all very friendly, helpful, & highly competent.

Had a fantastic dinner at Woodfire. Lamb sirloin was cooked perfectly and the garlic flatbread was delicious.

On a recent visit to Gabriola Island I had the pleasure of visiting the Woodfire Restaurant. This is a hidden gem run by a husband and wife team who present first-class food in a laid-back setting. As a party of three we were able to sample the menu offerings and judged all items to be excellent in quality and presentation. The eponymous pizzas are well crafted and the entrees and pastas were uniformly satisfying in all respects. Portions were ample and the dessert offerings are a serious temptation to overindulge. A well thought out beverage selection complements the menu and prices are reasonable relative to value. . A pleasure to visit and strongly recommended.

We spend a lot of time on Gabriola and go to Woodfire several times a year. My wife has had many of the featured dishes and always enjoyed them, but since I had my first Woodfire burger, I never have anything else! I'm not sure what exactly makes it so good, but it is simply as tasty a burger as you'll find anywhere, served with excellent fries and a salad.
